Beginnings of the Artist
Born in 1987, Kate grew up in a small coastal New England town in Bristol County, Massachusetts. Growing up in a region with four seasons sparked her curiosity about nature, which ultimately led her down a path of art and exploration.
As a child, Kate felt most in her element when surrounded by building blocks, crayons, and playdough. As an adolescent, redesigning her bedroom became a yearly endeavor. Discovering HGTV in the early 2000's ignited her passion even further and originally sparked her dream of becoming a designer. It was her passion for the arts that motivated her to pursue an education in design and she would later receive a Bachelors of Science Degree in Interior Design from New England Institute of Technology.
Kate’s design portfolio includes a variety of residences, landscapes, offices, institutional spaces and nearly two hundred custom yacht interiors ranging from 147 foot sailing sloops to 22 foot motor yachts.
Kate's passion for nature has only intensified through the years, which is why sustainability is at the forefront of her designs. Not only has nature influenced her life and career, but it also remains her special place of discovery and inspiration. She believes nature can be found at the root of all good designs.
